Primastar turn signal fault
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Nissan Primastar owner experienced a turn signal fault, with a warning message and non-functioning light, despite the bulb being intact. Initial inspection revealed slight corrosion on a pin, raising concerns about a deeper electrical issue or a faulty flasher relay. The problem was ultimately traced to a defective cable or plug connection, which was resolved at a workshop, eliminating the error.

I inspected the connections, but everything seemed secure. However, I did notice some slight corrosion on one of the pins. Could even minimal corrosion cause such a widespread error? And yes, it is only the right-side turn signal that is affected. Could it be the flasher relay?

That slight corrosion is like a pebble in a well-oiled machine; it can throw the whole system off. Considering it's only one side, while it could be the relay, I'd bet on the corroded connection being the culprit. I'd advise taking it to a workshop. They cleaned the contacts, but it ended up being a damaged cable, and the error disappeared right after. Best of luck!

I followed your suggestion and took the Primastar to a workshop. It turned out to be a defective cable or plug connection. The repair cost me 95€, but the error is now resolved. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

I had a similar problem on my Primastar. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the lamp unit itself? A loose or corroded connection can cause issues. Is it just one side affected, or both?
