Primera air flap fault
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Nissan Primera is experiencing a check engine light and engine overheating, with a diagnostic scan indicating an active air flap fault. The suspected cause is a defective electromechanism in the air intake system. A similar issue was resolved by replacing the faulty electromechanism, and it is recommended to have the vehicle checked professionally.

Yes, the fault code does point to the air intake system and indicates a problem with the active air flap. You mentioned a similar issue. Was it definitely the electromechanism at fault in your case?

In my case, that was indeed the issue. I ended up taking it to a workshop, and they confirmed that the electromechanism of the air flap had failed. I'd recommend getting it checked professionally.

Thanks for the confirmation. I'll take it to a workshop. It sounds like I'm looking at around 590€ for the repair. I appreciate the help!

Interesting. I've experienced a similar issue with my Primera. The symptoms were identical: check engine light and overheating. Did the fault code point specifically to the air intake system? It could be the actuator motor.
