Primera air suspension failure

I have a 2006 Nissan Primera diesel with 84803 km. The air suspension seems to have failed. The vehicle won't lift, it's leaning, and I'm getting error messages on the speedometer along with a warning light. Also, the low beams are misaligned and an error is stored. Any ideas?

Summary of the thread

A 2006 Nissan Primera diesel is experiencing air suspension failure, indicated by the vehicle not lifting, leaning, and displaying error messages and warning lights. The issue may be due to a defective cable or plug connection, as suggested by a similar past experience with another vehicle. The recommended solution is to inspect the electrical connections, particularly around the air suspension compressor, and seek professional assistance to prevent further damage. The problem was resolved by repairing the defective connection at a cost of 95€.

Whoa, that sounds like a mess! I had a similar issue with my old Citroen C4 Picasso – it turned out to be a dodgy connection to the air suspension compressor. Are you hearing the compressor trying to kick in at all? Have you checked the fuses related to the air suspension? Maybe you have air leaks? Just thinking of stuff I had to deal with. I hope it's something simple!

Thanks for the reply! I haven't heard the compressor. Where exactly should I be looking for these cable connections? Is there a common place they fail on these?

No compressor noise is not a good sign. Sadly I have no clue about the exact location on your Primera. In my case (the Picasso), it was corroded wiring near the compressor itself, underneath the car. Given all those symptoms though - error messages, leaning, lights pointing all over the place - it really does scream electrical to me. Honestly, you might be best off getting it checked by someone who knows their way around air suspension systems to prevent further damage.

Thanks for the input! I'll get it checked out. It was indeed a defective cable or plug connection of the component. Repair cost 95€.
