Primera Diesel Poor Starting

Experiencing issues with my 2001 Nissan Primera diesel (246148 km). Engine starts poorly, power's down, and there's an error stored. Could a bad camshaft sensor be the problem, maybe a faulty cable or plug?

Interesting. I have a Primera too. Are you sure it's the camshaft sensor? I had similar symptoms – poor starting and reduced power – and it turned out to be the crankshaft sensor. Have you checked that as well?

Thanks for the advice. Turns out it was a defective cable/plug connection on the camshaft sensor. Workshop repair cost 95€. Your suggestion helped me double-check everything.
