Primera emergency call malfunction

Experiencing a strange issue with my 2005 Nissan Primera diesel. The emergency call system seems to have malfunctioned. I'm getting an error stored in the error memory, along with a message and a warning light. I suspect it might be a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone encountered something similar? What could be the cause?

That sounds frustrating. I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra. It wasn't the emergency call, but the ABS system was throwing errors and lights all over the dash. Did you check the diagnostic codes to see if they point to a specific sensor or module?

Yes, I did check the diagnostic codes. They seem to indicate a general communication error with the emergency call module. Do you think that confirms the cable/plug issue, or could it be something else entirely?

Hmm, a general communication error could still be a wiring issue, but it's tough to say for sure without more in-depth testing. With my Opel, the error codes led me down a rabbit hole. In the end, I had to take it to a workshop, they found a corroded connector. Best of luck!

I took it to the workshop and you were right, it was indeed a defective plug connection. They replaced it, and everything is working fine now. The repair cost me 95€. Thanks again for your help!
