Primera siren communication fault
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Nissan Primera diesel is experiencing a 'siren communication fault' with a non-functioning alarm. The likely cause is suspected to be a faulty cable or plug connection to the siren, possibly due to corrosion. Checking and cleaning the connections, especially at the siren, is recommended. If unresolved, professional repair is considered a viable option.

Thanks! I've checked the connections closely for corrosion and the fuses look good. Could you say which connections gave you trouble on your Primera? Any details would help.

It was a while ago, but I think it was the connector right on the siren itself. It was full of muck. I tried cleaning it, but ended up booking it into the workshop. Saved me the hassle. Sounds like you're on the right track, though. Good luck!

Thanks, that confirms my thoughts about the connections. I'm going to get it fixed at the workshop. I'll post the solution here for other Primera owners if they have the same problem. Thanks again for the help.

I had something similar with my Primera, can't remember the year. Alarm died. Connections are the first thing to check, like you're doing. They corrode easily. Have you checked every wire and connection to the alarm module? Fuses?
