Primera siren communication fault

I've got a 2006 Nissan Primera diesel with a 'siren communication fault' in the error memory, and the alarm's not working. I'm guessing it's a bad cable or plug to the siren. Anyone seen this before? Repair's about 95€, which seems okay, but want to check options.

I had something similar with my Primera, can't remember the year. Alarm died. Connections are the first thing to check, like you're doing. They corrode easily. Have you checked every wire and connection to the alarm module? Fuses?

It was a while ago, but I think it was the connector right on the siren itself. It was full of muck. I tried cleaning it, but ended up booking it into the workshop. Saved me the hassle. Sounds like you're on the right track, though. Good luck!
