Prisma electric steering column malfunction
Summary of the thread
The electric steering column adjustment on a 2011 Chevrolet Prisma is malfunctioning, storing an error in the memory, and not allowing adjustments. Possible causes include a bad cable, plug, or faulty connector. Checking the fuses is suggested as a simple first step, but if the issue persists, a workshop visit may be necessary to address a faulty connector, which was the solution in a similar case.

Thanks! I hadn't thought of the fuses, focused on the complex stuff. Were your symptoms exactly the same? Complete loss of adjustment?

Yeah, pretty much the same. Couldn't adjust it at all. Tried the buttons, but nothing. Fuses were fine in my case, unfortunately. I ended up at a workshop; turned out to be a faulty connector. Hope yours is just a fuse, but if not, a workshop is probably the best bet.

Appreciate you sharing! Turns out it was a faulty connector as suspected, after a workshop visit. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Thanks again!

Sounds frustrating! I have a Prisma too, and something similar happened to me a while back. Did you check the fuses? Might be a simple fix. Worth a shot before tearing anything apart, right?
