Prisma heating malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Chevrolet Prisma with a gasoline engine is experiencing a heating malfunction, where the heater is only producing minimal heat, insufficient for defrosting the windshield. The error memory indicates a potential issue with the defrost air distribution flap, suggesting a possible problem with a cable or plug connection. After consulting a workshop, it was confirmed that a defective connection was the cause, and the issue was resolved with a repair.

The error is always there when they read the error memory. I did check around the dashboard panel, but everything seems solid. Where exactly on your Opel was the problem?

Mine was a faulty connection to the heater core air distribution. Best to get it properly diagnosed, though. Could save you money in the long run. A workshop can use the diagnostic system to point directly to the problem. Do you have any budget for that?

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a workshop, and you were right, it was a defective connection. The repair cost me about 95€. They said it was the cable or plug connection that you mentioned. Everything is working perfectly again!

Sounds familiar. Had something similar happen with my old Opel Corsa. Is the error consistently showing up, or does it disappear sometimes? Have you checked the dashboard panel for anything loose around the climate control?
