Prisma Windshield Washer Heater Issue

Hey, I'm having a weird issue with my 2015 Chevrolet Prisma with a gasoline engine. The windshield washer heater seems to be acting up. I keep getting an error stored in the error memory, and when the temperature drops, the spray nozzles freeze solid. I'm suspecting a bad connection somewhere, maybe a defective cable or plug. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it the heating element itself, the washer motor, or could it just be clogged nozzles?

Summary of the thread

A 2015 Chevrolet Prisma is experiencing issues with the windshield washer heater, leading to error messages and frozen spray nozzles in cold temperatures. The problem may be due to a bad connection, defective cable, or plug. A suggested solution is to inspect the wiring harness connected to the washer heater for corrosion or loose connections. If unresolved, visiting a workshop for a professional diagnosis is recommended.

I had a similar problem with my Prisma. I was getting some weird errors too, and the washer fluid wasn't spraying properly in cold weather. I thought it was just the fluid freezing, but the errors made me think otherwise. Have you checked the wiring harness that goes to the washer heater? It might be worth looking at before you start replacing parts.

Thanks for the tip! When you say wiring harness, do you mean the one connected directly to the washer heater itself? And did you eventually figure out what was causing your issue? I'm trying to avoid just throwing parts at it.

Yep, the one connected directly to the heater. I didn't mess with it myself, to be honest. I took it to a workshop, and they found a defective connector. I’d recommend checking for any corrosion or loose connections, but honestly, the safest bet might be a visit to the shop. They can diagnose it properly.

Appreciate the help! I was hoping to avoid the workshop, but it sounds like that might be the best course of action. I saw a repair cost of around 95€ for this issue, so I guess it won't break the bank. Thanks again!
