Prius Audio System Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Toyota Prius experienced a complete audio system failure, with no sound output despite the display functioning correctly. The issue was identified as a defective bass speaker, which caused the entire system to shut down. The suggested solution was to visit a workshop, where the problem was confirmed and repaired.

The unit powers on fine and displays everything, radio stations, USB controls, all that. No distortion before it failed, just silence. Could speakers be the problem even with a working display?

My display worked perfectly too. It was a bad bass speaker that shut down the whole system somehow. I'd suggest a workshop visit. Might be the same issue.

Took my Prius to a workshop based on your suggestion. You were right, defective bass speaker was the cause. Repair cost 280€. Thanks for the help!

I had a similar problem with my 2016 Opel Astra. The audio just quit. Does your unit power on and display info, or is it totally dead? Did you hear any distortion before it died?
