Prius Keyless Entry Failure

Hey, I have a 2017 Toyota Prius (hybrid engine) with 81031 km. The keyless access stopped working on the driver's door. Also, there is an error stored in the error memory. Could a defective cable or plug connection really be the culprit?

I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra. The door actuator was faulty, causing issues with the locking system. Keyless entry packed in too. Have you checked the door switch or the wiring to the door mechanism?

On the Astra, it involved removing the door card. If you are not experienced with that, you may break the plastic. Given the error code and the keyless issue, it might be best to get a workshop to check it.

Thanks! I took it to the workshop, and you were right. It was indeed a defective cable at the door handle, costing 95€.
