Prius sporadic errors and unresponsive control units

Interesting. I've got a Prius too, although not the same year. Sounds a lot like what happened to mine a while back. Were you able to narrow down which control module is throwing the error with your scan tool?

The scan tool pointed to a few different modules, which is why I'm stumped. It's not consistent. Did yours affect multiple systems at once?

Yep, affected seemingly random systems, just like yours. Turned out to be a defective cable connection to the BUS system on one of the main control units. It was causing all sorts of communication problems. Honestly, it's probably best to take it to a workshop. They can diagnose it properly and ensure it's fixed right.

Thanks for the insight! I'll schedule an appointment with the workshop. That cable connection issue sounds spot on. They quoted me around 155€ for the repair, which seems reasonable. Appreciate the help!
