Prius stereo display failure

Stereo stopped working in my 2001 Toyota Prius, hybrid engine. No sound at all. Fuses are good, and I tried disconnecting the battery. I'm getting an error that points to a defective display. Anyone else seen this?

I had a similar problem with my Prius. Was there speaker crackle or static before it cut out? It might be faulty wiring to the speakers or a bad head unit.

Thanks! No crackle or static, it just went silent. The display lights up and shows the radio stations, but no sound from any of the speakers. How did you fix your problem?

Ah, ok. Mine was making noises beforehand. Without any noise, and with that error code, it sounds like a defective display. Best get it to a workshop.

Thank you. The workshop confirmed the display unit was faulty. The repair cost 725€. At least it's working again!
