Prius tire pressure light issue

Hey, I've got a 2006 Toyota Prius, hybrid engine, with a weird issue. The tire pressure light keeps coming on. The display says the tire pressure is too low, and it's throwing a TPMS error. I checked all the tires with a gauge, and they're all at the right pressure. Any thoughts?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my Prius. I can't remember the year, but it was a real pain. Did you try resetting the TPMS system? Sometimes that works, but in my case, the light came back on after a day or so.

Yeah, I tried resetting it a couple of times, but no luck. The light just pops back on. Did yours throw a code too, or just the warning light?

Mine definitely threw a code. After some digging, it turned out to be a faulty sensor. With that mileage, it is likely that the sensor battery is empty. I ended up taking it to a shop; they replaced the sensor, and the problem was solved. Cost me about 280€, but worth it for peace of mind.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like I'll be heading to the shop then. Good to know what to expect. Appreciate the help!
