Problem with the heated windows and windshield heater on the Citroën DS3 petrol engine 2013
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
A Citroën DS3 from 2013 is experiencing issues with its heated windows and windshield heater, with an error consistently being logged. A similar problem in a Citroën DS5 was resolved by replacing faulty heater wires. The suggested solution is to visit a garage to diagnose and potentially fix the heater wires, as this resolved the issue in a comparable case.

Hi, my DS3 is now at 38677 kilometers. The last service was recently and there were no problems. Regarding the error message, it's quite unclear, it only refers to a problem with the window heating. Similar problems have not occurred before. Your experience is already helping me, maybe it really is the heating wires. I will probably have to visit my garage. 585 euros is a lot of money, but if it helps... Thank you!

Hello again! Yes, based on what you've said, it's quite possible that the problem is with the heater wires. At least that was the case with my DS5. It's annoying, but I can tell you that the repair was worth it. Since then, everything has been working perfectly and I no longer have to struggle with icy windows. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it won't be more expensive for you either. And if you have any questions or want to share further experiences, I'm here. Sometimes it just helps if someone has had the same problem before. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Thank you for your help and encouraging words. I'm relieved to hear that your problem was fixed after the repair. I hope my situation will be similar too. I have an appointment at the garage for next week. I'll keep you posted and let you know what comes out then. Thanks again for your support. Have a nice day!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my Citroën DS5 from 2011. I have little experience with car repairs, but I tried to solve it myself and unsuccessfully. So I had to go to my trusted garage. They found that the heater wires were faulty. It cost me 585 euros to fix it, but I haven't had any further problems since. Could you tell me a bit more about your car? Maybe then I can help you in more detail. What model do you have exactly and have you had similar problems before? What error message are you getting exactly?
