Problems with the engine stopping on an Audi Q3 Diesel

Good day! I own a 2012 Audi Q3, with a Diesel engine and 22000 km driven. I have encountered a strange problem: the engine shuts off by itself when I brake, especially if I have a car in front. If not, I can press the accelerator and the engine starts again. I have been to several auto electricians, but they all say that the car is fine, although the problem persists. The car works perfectly otherwise. I would appreciate any advice or recommendation to solve this problem. Thank you in advance for your answers!

Summary of the thread

An Audi Q3 Diesel owner is experiencing an issue where the engine shuts off when braking, particularly when a car is in front. Despite consulting several auto electricians, the problem remains unresolved. A suggested solution is to check for a vacuum leak in the brake booster vacuum hose or inspect the brake booster itself for potential issues.

Check if the brake booster vacuum hose is properly connected and not leaking. A vacuum leak can cause the engine to stall when braking. If the hose seems fine, consider having a mechanic inspect the brake booster itself for any issues. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!
