I have a 2007 Renault Master with a diesel engine and 245,000 km on the odometer. My problem is that the automatic transmission initially only shifted manually. Then I could no longer get the car into neutral and it would no longer start. The car was towed to a Renault garage, but they cannot find the problem. They suggest replacing a part for €400, but they are not sure if this will solve the problem. Does anyone have experience with this problem or do you know a possible solution? Thanks in advance for your help.

Check the transmission fluid level and condition first, as low or dirty fluid can cause shifting issues. If the fluid is fine, inspect the transmission control module (TCM) connections for any loose or corroded contacts. Let me know if this helps or if you have any further questions.
