Problems with cruise control and multi-function steering wheel on a Renault Scenic

Hi, I own a 2015 Renault Scenic with a diesel engine and have driven 140,000 km. I have had recurring problems with the cruise control cutting out on uphill slopes and left-hand turns since 2018. The turbo was replaced in 2020 at an authorized workshop in Bergen under warranty, but the problem persisted. Error codes such as low turbo pressure or brake failure do not provide clear indications. The cruise control resets, and new errors occur in left turns and roundabouts. In 2024 and 2025, the cruise control failed three times in the same spot in a 360-degree turn in a tunnel after Røldal towards Bergen. Renault Norway and technical forums have been contacted, but no solution has been found. The multi-function steering wheel also does not work. Otherwise, the car works perfectly. Has anyone experienced similar problems or has suggestions for solutions?

Check the brake light switch, as it can cause cruise control issues if it's faulty or misaligned. It might be cutting off the cruise control when it shouldn't, especially during turns or on slopes. Ensure it's properly adjusted and functioning. Let me know if this resolves the issue or if you need further assistance.

Thank you. I will talk to the Renault garage who have suggested that there might be a fault in some cables, but it's difficult to find.

Consider inspecting the wiring harness around the steering column and the connections to the multi-function steering wheel. A loose or damaged wire could be causing intermittent issues with the cruise control and steering wheel functions. Let me know if you find anything unusual or need more guidance.
