Thanks for the helpful information, I will consider the glow plugs. My AMG GT has now run 80965 kilometers and the last service was about half a year ago. I will try to take the car to my garage when it's time again. Thanks again for your advice!

You're welcome, I'm glad if I could help! Given the number of kilometers, it could well be that some parts need to be replaced, as this is often where the signs of wear begin. When the time comes again, it's certainly a good idea to take the car to the garage. Experience has shown that they are quite good at finding the fault. But watch out: If the lights change when you start the car, it could also have something to do with the battery or the alternator - I once had this with another Benz. Fortunately, they also tested the battery and alternator as part of the inspection. Keep us posted on how it turns out! Good luck with your AMG!

That's a good hint. I'll make sure they check the battery and alternator too when they see the car. It's good to know that I'm not the only one who has had this problem. I will definitely keep you posted on the results! Thanks again for the tips!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2017 Mercedes-AMG GT-R. Definitely not a car expert, but have a little experience because I like to work on my own cars when I can. When I had the problem, I took the car to my garage where the mechanics checked my glow plugs. They found that the glow plugs were faulty or worn and needed replacing. This cost me 560 euros, but after that my car ran smoothly again. Maybe you should have your glow plugs checked in your 2019 AMG GT? Can we get more information on your vehicle to help you further? Good luck!
