Problems with ABS/DSC and airbag warning light on BMW 4 Series Diesel 2015
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
A 2015 BMW 4 Series diesel is experiencing issues with the ABS/DSC system and an airbag warning light. The suspected cause is a faulty steering angle sensor, potentially due to a broken cable connection. Similar cases were resolved by replacing the faulty cable, costing around 155 to 180 euros. Checking and repairing the cable connection to the sensor is suggested as a solution.

Hey, thanks for your answer! My model is a BMW 420d. Interesting that you had similar problems with your car. 155 euros for the repair sounds like something I could live with. I'll check to see if it's the cable connection to the sensor in my case too. Thanks for the tip!

Hey, no problem! It was exactly the same with my 420d. The error message came up and I had no idea what to do. They were able to find the fault quite quickly at the workshop. The cable to the steering angle sensor was also broken in my case. My garage then replaced the cable and since then everything has been running smoothly again. I was also quite happy with 180 euros. I hope this helps you!

Hey, thanks for your reply! It's good to know that your 420d had the same problem and that it was so easy and relatively cheap to fix. I feel much better already! I'll have it checked at my garage as soon as possible and of course hope it's just the cable. Your answer was very helpful, thank you again! I will definitely keep you posted on how it turns out.

Hey, had a similar problem with my 2013 BMW 4 series diesel. I have a bit of experience with the issue, but it wasn't until I went to the garage that they discovered the cable connection to the sensor was faulty. It cost me 155 euros to repair. Could you perhaps tell me exactly which model variant your BMW is?
