Problems with ABS/DSC system, steering and vibrations on the steering wheel in Citroën EMehari 2017 - advice and workshop experience wanted

Power steering without function

ABS/DSC system is not working

Vibrating/shaking steering wheel

Hey guys, I've noticed a few problems with my Citroen EMehari (2017 model, electric drive). The ABS/DSC system is not working properly, the steering assistance has failed and the steering wheel vibrates a lot. I suspect that the steering angle sensor could be faulty, but I'm looking for specific tips and experience from you to help me narrow down the problem. Above all, I would be interested to know how you have been able to solve such problems in the workshop and what experiences you have had. Thank you for your help!

Hi there, I had a similar problem with my Citroen C-Zero (built in 2015). I'm not an expert, but I have some experience with cars and like to tinker with them. The coding of the steering angle sensor was faulty on my car. Had to go to the garage and have it fixed. There they updated the car's software and then recalibrated the sensor. It ended up costing me about 195 euros. What exactly is the condition of your vehicle? Are there any error codes that are displayed? More details would certainly help to help you better.

Hey, thanks for your reply! My EMehari doesn't show any specific fault codes, everything is a bit confused. The current mileage is 22307 KM. Nothing abnormal was found at the last inspection and I haven't changed anything since. I think I'll have to follow your example and go to the garage to have it checked. Do you have a good garage to recommend? I haven't had the best luck with mine so far. Hopefully it won't be too expensive!

Well, we're all in the same boat at the end of the day. Well, it's really hard to say without fault codes or other such clues. But yes, you probably won't be able to avoid going to the workshop. Unfortunately, I can't recommend a specific garage as I don't know where you live exactly. However, I have had good experiences with authorized Citroen workshops. They know the models really well and are generally quite reliable. Sure, the costs might be higher, but I think the quality of the service and the feeling that the car is in good hands make up for it. And who knows, maybe they have a solution that costs less than you feared. Good luck with that!

Hey, thanks for the advice! I'll have a look for an authorized Citroen garage near me and start comparing prices. So yeah, it seems like I'll probably have to spend a little more, but you're right, the quality of work is worth it. Hopefully they will be able to fix the problem without me having to spend a fortune. Thanks again for your help!
