Sure, thanks for the quick reply! My Golf is a 2013 model with a petrol engine and already has 120331 km on the clock. The last service was recently and there weren't really any problems. As far as the equipment is concerned, I don't have anything special. Just standard :-) I've never had any problems with the cruise control. Your experience sounds really helpful though, maybe I should really check the fuse. Thank you!

Hey, no problem, I'm happy to help. With that kind of mileage, it's actually quite possible that a fuse will simply blow. Just check the fuse for the cruise control in the fuse box under the steering wheel, the position should be in the owner's manual. If it has blown, simply replace it. You can usually do this yourself, it will only cost you a few cents for a new fuse. At least that's how it was with my VW Passat. I hope this helps you and the problem is solved quickly. Good luck and let me know what it was!

Great, thanks for the detailed information and the tip about the fuse. I'll take your advice and have a look in the operating instructions and check the fuse. Maybe I'm lucky and that really is the problem. Sounds like a simple and inexpensive solution to me. I'll definitely let you know what comes up. Thanks again for your help!

Hello, I have a 2011 VW Polo with 130,200 km and am experiencing problems with the cruise control. It often fails to engage or randomly disengages. Has anyone faced similar issues? What solutions or advice can you offer to fix this? Your experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Start by checking the brake light switch. A faulty brake light switch can cause the cruise control to disengage randomly. If the brake lights are staying on or coming on randomly, it could be the cause of your problem. If you're not comfortable doing this yourself, I'd recommend having a mechanic look at it.

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2011 VW Passat and have little experience with cars. In my case, the problem was actually the defective fuse, which cost 52 euros to repair in the workshop. The repair was quick and easy, the guys in the workshop were super professional. By the way, the model of your car could also make the difference. Could you give more details about your car, motorization, equipment etc.? Maybe I could help even more.
