Problems with electrics and navigation in the Seat Arona Diesel (2019): Possible flex-ray bus error
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
A Seat Arona Diesel (2019) is experiencing electrical issues, including a malfunctioning sat nav and a warning light on the speedometer, possibly due to a Flex-Ray bus error. A similar issue in another vehicle was resolved by replacing a faulty fuse, suggesting this as a potential solution. It is recommended to have the car checked at a garage to confirm if the problem is minor, such as a fuse, or possibly a software issue.

Hey, thanks for your reply! My Arona has 18600 km on it and recently had its service. It's really frustrating as the car is barely 2 years old. Checking the fuse is a good idea, maybe that's it. Was your repair permanently successful? Maybe that's where my problem lies too. Really interesting and great that you are working on it yourself. Unfortunately, I'm not that familiar with it.

Hello again! Yes, the repair held up really well and the problem hasn't recurred since. With such low mileage and a relatively new car, it's a real hassle, but sometimes it can happen. It could also be a software problem, which modern cars sometimes have. But before you worry too much, get it checked at the garage first, could be something minor like a fuse. Would love an update if you know more. Maybe I can help you with my modest mechanic knowledge! All the best and hopefully it's nothing major! See you then!

Hi, your advice sounds sensible, thanks for that. A fuse seems like a quick and easy fix, which I will have checked out. I also hope it's nothing major! Your screwdriver knowledge is definitely helpful! I'll definitely give you an update as soon as I know more. Nice to have helpful people like you in the community. See you then and thanks again!

Hi, sounds like a tricky situation. I had a similar problem with my 2017 Seat Ibiza, so just a different model and a bit older. To be honest, I'm not a car professional, I just have a bit of experience because I like to tinker and learn myself. When my sat nav failed and other electrical issues arose, I also took it to a garage. They found that the fuse was faulty and repaired it for around 80 euros. It wasn't that expensive and solved the problems. Can you perhaps give a few more details about your car? What model is it exactly and how many kilometers has it done? Maybe then I can help you in more detail. Hope that helps!
