Hey, thanks for your quick reply! My Toyota CHR now has exactly 175274 km on the clock. At the last service about 5,000 km ago, there was nothing wrong with the transmission oil pressure cooler. At the moment the car shifts quite roughly, sometimes it even skips a gear. When it's warm, everything seems to be normal. It's really crazy and I just hope it's nothing serious. Thanks again for your help!

Sure, no problem! So, your problem sounds like a classic transmission problem to me. If your Toyota CHR shifts roughly at first and then skips a gear, this could indicate a problem with the clutch or the shift mechanism. A faulty transmission oil pressure cooler could be causing the symptoms you describe. However, it could also simply be that your transmission oil level is low or the transmission oil needs to be changed. My Toyota RAV4 once had a similar problem and it turned out to be a faulty shift valve. I would recommend that you have this checked at a garage. Maybe it's a cheap fix like on my RAV4. Good luck with that, hopefully it's nothing serious!

Hey, thanks for the tips. Yes, it really does sound like a problem with the gearbox. I'll probably have to visit a garage as soon as possible. I just hope it's nothing serious and won't be too expensive. Your experience reassures me a little. Thanks again for your help!

Hello, I drive a Toyota RAV4, built in 2016. I am not a professional, but I have some experience with cars. I had a similar problem once. At the garage, they found that the cable connection to the valve was defective. They had to repair it for 170 euros. What exactly is your problem? Do you know the exact condition of your transmission oil pressure cooler? With more information, I might be able to help you more precisely. Good luck with that!
