Hi, thanks for the quick reply! My battery is actually relatively new, I changed it last year in the fall. But maybe I should have it checked to see if it's gone again. As far as I know, a battery should actually last longer... As for my Modus, I can say that it has already done a few kilometers, namely 140928 km. The last service was about a year ago. Apart from that, it drives without any problems. In any case, I'll take your tips into account and look for other opinions. Thanks again!

Hey, no problem, that's what we're here for! So if your battery is relatively new, it really should still be fit. Of course, other possibilities include a faulty alternator or a problem with the wiring. But without a more precise diagnosis, it's really difficult to say what could be going on. Next time at the garage, I would perhaps have the voltage regulator checked. If the car has been driven a lot and is an older model, it may be faulty. By the way, a battery test usually doesn't cost much and might be a good place to start to narrow down the problem. I hope this helps you! Good luck with your troubleshooting!

Hey, thanks a lot for your help! Those are really helpful tips. I'll definitely have the voltage regulator and alternator checked on my next visit to the garage. A battery test is also a good idea, I wouldn't have thought of that. Hopefully I'll soon find out what's wrong with my car. Will definitely keep you posted and hopefully report some good news. Thanks again and take care!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my Renault Clio Diesel (built in 2007). My knowledge of cars is not that high, but I have had some experiences. My car's battery was also faulty, just like yours. I went to my garage at the time and they did various tests. It turned out that the battery was broken and had to be replaced. It cost me 290 euros and the problem was solved. Are you sure you won't experience anything similar? A few more details about your car could certainly help to better understand the problem. For example, how old is your battery? The more information you can provide, the better we can help you. Good luck with that,
