Problems with Opel Insignia 2021: Engine indicator light, engine standstill and starting problems
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Opel Insignia is experiencing issues with the check engine light, engine shutdowns, and starting problems. The initial suspicion is a coding error, but further investigation reveals a fuel pressure problem. Potential causes include a faulty high-pressure pump or engine control unit, especially since the issues arose after a recent service. The recommended solution is to consult a specialist for a professional diagnostic to accurately identify and resolve the problem.

Hey, thanks for your reply. The error message says there is a problem with the fuel pressure. The car is now at a mileage of 101248 km and it has just had the latest service. At the moment it's just sitting there because it won't start at all. Hope that helps. I can see I probably won't be able to avoid going to the garage. Thanks for your tips anyway!

Moin, yes, that sounds like you need to consult an expert. The problem with the fuel pressure can have many causes. In my Astra, it was once the high-pressure pump that had given up the ghost. However, your symptoms also sound like a problematic engine control unit, as indicated in my first post. I find it surprising that this occurs directly after the service. Perhaps there could be a connection. Anyway, I wish you good luck and please keep us posted on what it was in the end. See you then!

Hello again, yes, you're right. It is strange that the problems occur directly after the service. I'm already on my way to the workshop and will keep you informed. Thanks again for your time and the tips! Take care!

Good morning, I have a 2021 Opel Insignia...for 4 months I've been trying to find out what problems it has. Initially, I was told that there are problems with the NOx-2 sensor related to AdBlue. I changed that pump, but the car still has an error on the dashboard...it shows a mileage limit...768km the car shuts off and won't start anymore...please help me...what can I do...?

It sounds like your car might be experiencing issues with the AdBlue system, which can cause the engine to shut down if not resolved. First, ensure that the AdBlue tank is filled with the correct fluid. If the issue persists, it could be related to the AdBlue injector or another sensor in the system. I recommend having a professional diagnostic check to pinpoint the exact cause. Keep me updated on your progress or if you have any further questions!

Thank you very much! Can you help me find a good service center where I can solve the problem? Yesterday I went and they told me that the engine is giving errors and that it might be the water hose. I don't know how to solve this car problem anymore! Can't a proper diagnosis show the exact problem?

It's important to find a reputable service center that specializes in Opel vehicles. A proper diagnostic should indeed identify the exact issue. I recommend checking online reviews or asking for recommendations from local Opel owners. Ensure the service center has the necessary equipment to perform a comprehensive diagnostic. Once you have a diagnosis, feel free to update me, and I can help guide you further.

Hi, I had a similar experience with my 2019 Opel Astra. I'm not a professional, but I have quite a bit of experience with cars. So, I went to my local mechanic. It turned out that the engine control unit was faulty. That cost me about 1000.0 euros. It would be helpful if you could give more information about your car. What error messages are you getting exactly? Is your car currently running at all? Regardless of this, I recommend that you visit a specialist. They will definitely be able to help you. Good luck!
