Problems with Renault Captur Diesel 2013: power loss, high fuel consumption and engine stuttering
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Renault Captur Diesel is experiencing power loss, high fuel consumption, engine stuttering, black smoke emission, and an illuminated indicator light. The suspected cause is a faulty rail pressure sensor. A similar issue was resolved in another vehicle by replacing the pressure sensor, suggesting this as a potential solution. The car owner plans to have the vehicle checked at a garage to confirm and address the problem.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. My Captur has actually been driving normally, nothing special. I recently had another service at 122840 km and everything was still working. I really have no idea what could be wrong, but the pressure sensor sounds logical. I'll take it to the garage and have it checked. Thanks again for the tip! Greetings back!

Hey, no problem, I'm happy to help! It's a good idea to have the car checked by a professional at a garage. Your symptoms really remind me of what I went through with my Clio. It was actually the pressure sensor. I hope it's the same with your Captur, because that would be a pretty easy and not too expensive fix. Let me know what the people at the garage say. Good luck and keep me posted! Greetings!

Hey, I'll do it! I've already made an appointment at the workshop. Hopefully I won't have to dig too deep into my pockets. But your experience has already eased my worries a little. Everything will be fine. Thanks again and take care! Greetings!

Hey, I have some experience with cars, but I'm not a professional. I had a similar problem with my 2015 Renault Clio and it cost me 240 euros to change the pressure sensor. I think that might solve the problem with your car too. Of course, this is not a guarantee without more information about your car. Can you share more details about your car, such as the exact model name or if you have recently changed anything on your car? Greetings!
