Problems with Seat Leon 2016: wobbling at idle, engine indicator light and acceleration jerking - suspected defective throttle valve

Hello everyone, I have recently started having some strange problems with my Seat Leon, year of manufacture 2016, petrol engine. It wobbles when idling, the check engine light is on and it jerks when accelerating. I now suspect that the throttle valve could be to blame. Have any of you had similar experiences and can you help me? How did you get this solved at your garage and what were your experiences? I would really appreciate a few tips! Thanks in advance!

Summary of the thread

A 2016 Seat Leon is experiencing issues such as wobbling at idle, an illuminated check engine light, and jerking during acceleration. The suspected cause is a defective throttle valve. A similar issue in a 2014 Seat Ibiza was resolved by replacing a faulty power supply from the accelerator pedal module, suggesting a potential solution. The owner plans to consult a garage for further diagnosis and repair.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Hey, I'm not a car expert, but I once had a similar problem with my 2014 Seat Ibiza. It was actually a power supply from the accelerator pedal module that was faulty. Had similar symptoms. My garage replaced the module and it cost around €270. Everything was fine again afterwards. Could you give us some more information about your car? Mileage, last service, etc.? Maybe that would help with troubleshooting. Hope that helps a little!

Hey, thanks for the tip! That could also be the case. My Leon now has 86132 km on it, and the last service was recently. Let's see what the garage says. But your experience reassures me a little. Thank you!

You're welcome! Well, with the number of kilometers and the fresh service, that doesn't sound so dramatic. It could really be something as simple as the power supply. Just have it checked at the garage. In my Ibiza, the problem was fixed pretty quickly. And if it's the throttle valve, it's better to fix it as soon as possible. It's usually the little things that cause big trouble. Let us know what the garage comes up with. Good luck, I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Hey, thanks so much for your encouraging words! Yes, I hope it's something simple too. But at least now I'm prepared. As soon as I hear something from the workshop, I'll let you know here. Thanks again for the help and fingers crossed! See you then!
