Hello, thanks for the answer! Well, apart from that the car is actually running very well and the last inspection was at 87000km, no major problems were found. The smartphone is an iPhone 8 with the latest iOS. And the equipment is actually all standard, I haven't had anything retrofitted or anything. A software update sounds plausible, I almost thought. I would have it done for 45 euros, I think. Have you had any problems since the update or is everything running smoothly now?

Hey, yeah, since the software update my car is like a newborn baby in terms of connectivity! There have been no further problems. In fact, I would highly recommend this update, especially since it can't hurt your car. As for the GPS connection, it may also be due to that. But as I said, this update has worked wonders for my VW Golf. Maybe your GPS problem will clear up after that. Hope this helps you!

Hello, thank you for the helpful information! That does sound very reassuring. I'll ask the garage about the software update. It's great that it's working so well for you now! Hopefully that will solve my problems in exactly the same way. You've really helped me. Best regards!

Hello, I had the same problem with my BMW, but it was relatively easy to solve. I carried out a software update on my smartphone and then completely deleted all connections in the vehicle menu. Then I completely reconnected the smartphone and since then it has been working again without any problems. Of course, it could also be that the software in the car is faulty and therefore an update is necessary.

Hi, so I have experienced a similar case with my 2013 VW Golf Diesel. I would describe myself as someone with little knowledge of cars, but there could still be something helpful. At my garage, they found out that the problem was due to a faulty pairing with the smartphone. They did a software update to fix the problem and it cost me 45 euros. To help you better, it would be useful if you could tell me more about your vehicle. Are there any other problems you have encountered? Please also state the exact model designation and equipment variant. It might also be helpful if you mention the cell phone model and operating system you are trying to pair the car with.
