Problems with the air conditioning system in a 2012 Ford Fusion: malfunction of the A/C system and interior temperature sensor
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Ford Fusion is experiencing issues with the air conditioning system, blowing warm air and not starting properly. The problem might be linked to a signal error in the cabin temperature sensor. Possible causes include a faulty air conditioning control unit, low coolant levels, or a malfunctioning air conditioning pump. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle inspected at a garage to diagnose and address the specific issue.

Hello, thank you very much for your quick reply. My Ford Fusion now has a mileage of 114027 km. So far it has always worked great and I haven't had any major problems with it. The last service was only recently carried out, but the problem with the air conditioning was already there. I will follow your advice and have it checked at the next workshop visit. Thanks to you!

Hey, no problem, I'm happy to help. With 114027 km on the clock, there can be quite a few reasons for the problem with the air conditioning. Maybe just the coolant needs to be topped up, maybe the air conditioning pump is faulty or - as with my Fiesta at the time - the air conditioning control unit. Unfortunately, it's impossible to say without a precise diagnosis. If I were you, I would go to the garage and have them take a look before you spend money on parts that you might not even need. Let us know how it turns out! Good luck and cheer up, you'll be fine!

Hi, thanks for your advice. I also think it's best to take the car to the garage and have it looked at. What you pointed out makes sense. I will have the coolant checked and see if the problem is possibly the air conditioning pump or the air conditioning control unit. I'll keep you up to date. Many thanks for your help!

Hi, I currently have a 2010 Ford Fiesta and had a similar problem. Although I'm not really an expert, I go to the garage from time to time and do a few things there. With my problem, it was the air conditioning control unit that was faulty. The repair cost me around 880 euros at the garage. I'm not 100% sure if that's the case for you, but you could have it checked at a garage. Can you give me more information about the car? Maybe then I can help you a little more precisely. Hope that helps you for now!
