(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
A 2012 VW CC diesel owner is experiencing issues with the alarm system, suspecting the tilt sensor as the cause. A similar case with a 2010 VW Passat revealed that such problems might arise after a service, possibly due to sensor replacement or deactivation. Hey, thanks for the unique insight! I wasn't sure if I was the only one with this kind of alarm trouble. I have the original VW alarm system in my car, and no unnecessary stuff or fiddling. Had my last service at 124420 km and I've had these problems ever since. This thing is really annoying! Maybe I should take it to the garage too. Thanks again!

No problem, I know that only too well! I also had the original VW alarm system in my 2010 VW Passat. Without any modifications. I also always made sure that I had my car serviced regularly. Nevertheless, problems can occur after a service. In my case, the sensor was replaced during a service and the alarm system then went crazy. However, the garage was able to fix it quickly. Good news - the whole thing sounds like a technical problem that the professionals in the workshop can certainly solve. As this is the original VW alarm system, I would recommend going to an authorized VW workshop. They know best about the specifications and troubleshooting of your car. Hopefully it won't cost a fortune. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

You're right, next time I'll go straight to a recognized VW workshop. I didn't even know that such problems could occur after a service. Actually, I thought that would avoid problems... But good to know! Hopefully it can be fixed quickly for me too. I'll keep you up to date. Thanks for the helpful tips and support, it means a lot to me!

Some time ago I had a similar problem with my 2010 VW Passat. Don't worry, I'm not a car professional either, but I do have a bit of experience. I went to my regular garage. It turned out that I had unknowingly deactivated the anti-theft alarm system! Fortunately, the whole thing was done quickly and easily and only cost 30 euros. Which alarm system exactly do you have in your car? It might be slightly different depending on the model. That way I can help you better.
