Problems with the alarm system in Renault Master Diesel model year 2006: tips and experiences
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Renault Master Diesel is experiencing issues with its alarm system, suspected to be due to a fault in communication with the alarm system siren. A similar issue in a 2004 Renault Scenic was resolved by checking and repairing the ECU, which was found to be faulty. The suggested solution is to have the control unit checked at a garage, although it may be costly. The owner is advised to seek professional assistance to diagnose and fix the problem.

Hey, thanks for your quick reply! I haven't made any modifications, it's completely original as I bought it. My Renault already has 147058 km on the clock and the last service was a few months ago. I will probably have to go to the garage and have the control unit checked. It's a shame that it's so expensive, but if it helps... Thanks again!

Hey, no problem! Yes, cars can sometimes be a real money pit. Your Renault has already come a long way, but that can hardly be avoided with a 2006 model. Don't be put off by the cost of my repair, maybe you'll be lucky and it will be a little less complicated and therefore cheaper. Good luck and hope that your problem is resolved soon. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2004 Renault Scenic, so very similar to your Master. I would attribute my car knowledge to low to medium experience. I had the ECU checked at a garage. It turned out that the control unit was faulty. It cost me 1000 euros to fix it, which of course isn't really cheap, but it worked perfectly again afterwards. Have you made any modifications to your car that might be causing the problem? Exact details about your car could help me to help you further.
