Hey, thanks for your feedback. Cool thing that you got it sorted out at the garage. As for the fault codes, I have P0106 and P0507. At the last inspection at 192345 km they said it could be the ECU, but who knows. Otherwise the Amarok drives as usual, only the cruise control function is acting up. Do you have any ideas? Thanks again!

Hey, you're welcome, always ready to help! These error codes P0106 and P0507 could indicate problems with the idling system and the MAP sensor. But it's hard to say without a precise diagnosis. If it really was the control unit, you could probably have even more problems with your Amarok. Such things are always annoying, but usually easy to solve. Is your cruise control measuring the speed correctly or is it completely out of order? Maybe it's just a software problem and a simple update can help. As I said, I'm not a mechanic, I had a similar problem with my Tiguan. Good luck!

Hey, thanks for the help, really nice of you! Yes, the cruise control records the speed correctly, seems to be more of a control problem. Maybe a software update really is the way to go, will definitely give that a try. Otherwise I'll have a look in the workshop, always better to be on the safe side. Thanks again, keep your fingers crossed!

Hi, had a similar problem with my 2006 VW Tiguan, I have some experience with cars. My own diagnosis was not correct and I had to go to the garage. There it turned out that the cable connection to the sensor was faulty. Had to pay 155 euros to have it repaired. That sorted everything out. Can you perhaps provide more details about the error codes? Then I could help you better. Is your car doing any other strange things?
