Problems with the electrics in the Peugeot Rifter 2022 - experience and solutions wanted
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
A Peugeot Rifter 2022 owner is experiencing electrical issues, including error messages, flickering lights, and battery problems. The suspected cause is a disconnection of terminal 30, but the exact issue is unclear. Suggestions include using a diagnostic tool to identify the problem, as it could range from minor issues like damaged relays to more significant faults such as a defective on-board control unit. Checking fuses and relays is recommended before seeking professional help to potentially save on repair costs.

Hi, thanks for your advice! My Peugeot Rifter now has 56368 km on the clock and had its last service a few months ago. I haven't had the fault memory read out yet, but that's probably the next step. Your experience matches my assumptions. A diagnostic device also seems to me to be the safest option for solving the problem. Hopefully it's not the on-board control unit in my case, I really couldn't do with a thousand euros worth of damage right now! Your help is really worth its weight in gold, thanks again!

Hi buddy, no problem, always happy to help! It almost looks like we have exactly the same challenges with our Peugeots. Yeah, the diagnostic tool really helped me pinpoint the exact problem. It could be a variety of things, from simpler things like damaged relays to more complicated issues with the wiring control unit. But hope dies last! Maybe it's just a minor issue. Have you checked the fuses and relays? In my old car, before I had the Peugeot, a relay was defective once and it had similar effects on the electrics. Taking a look at it helped me. There's nothing worse than coming across major damage that you haven't budgeted for. So before you go to the garage, maybe check all the smaller things you can check yourself to save costs. Keep your fingers crossed that it's not major damage! Let me know what comes out of the diagnosis. I would be really interested. Good luck!

Hi, thanks for your further tips, I really appreciate it. Yes, I've already checked the fuses and relays and they seem to be fine. But you're right, maybe it's just one little thing. At the moment I'm just hoping it doesn't turn out to be any major damage. I'm going for a diagnosis tomorrow and will definitely let you know what comes out of it. Thanks again for your help and keep your fingers crossed for me!

Hi mate, I once had similar problems with my Peugeot 308 (built in 2020). I'm not the biggest car expert, but I still have some experience. In my case, the on-board control unit was defective. I had it repaired at my regular garage and it cost me about 1000 euros. They used a professional diagnostic device to find the exact fault. It wasn't exactly cheap, but since then there have been no more problems with the electrics. However, it would be helpful if you could provide more information about your vehicle and the exact symptoms. Maybe then I can help you better. Have you ever had the fault memory read out? Good luck!
