Problems with the gearshift and warning light in the Opel Mokka (2015): Possible causes and solutions
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
An Opel Mokka (2015) is experiencing gearshift slipping, grinding noises, and a warning light on the speedometer. The issue might be related to the transmission oil pressure sensor, but a similar case pointed to a defective transmission control unit. The suggested solution is to visit a garage for a professional diagnosis and to obtain multiple quotes to potentially save on repair costs.

Hey, thanks for your answer. So, 186,239 km on the car, last service was in March. Sounds like this transmission control unit could really be the culprit. Seems like I won't be able to avoid a visit to the garage. We'll see if it's just something small or if it's really expensive. Wish me luck!

Hey, no problem! Yeah, looks like a workshop visit is probably unavoidable. It could be the transmission control unit, but it could also be something else. It's just hard to tell without seeing it for yourself. I would advise you to get a few quotes from different garages before you commit yourself. That's what I did and was able to save a bit of money. Good luck with it, hopefully it's nothing too bad!

Hello, I'm not a professional, but I do know a bit about cars. I had a similar problem with my Opel Mokka X (built in 2017). It turned out that the transmission control unit was defective. I then had it repaired in my garage around the corner, it cost me 1000.0 euros. But what exactly is your model and year of manufacture? I might be able to help.
