Problems with the headlight leveller and warning light on Citroen EMehari Electric 2020

Hi guys, I've recently started having a problem with my 2020 Citroen EMehari electric. I'll get straight to the point: the headlamp leveller is acting up and a warning light comes on in my speedometer. My assumption is that it has something to do with the functional restriction of the headlight range control. Has anyone had any experience with this and any advice on how it can be rectified in the workshop? I would appreciate any tips and experiences to help narrow down the problem and understand it better. Thanks in advance!

Summary of the thread

A 2020 Citroen EMehari electric vehicle is experiencing issues with the headlamp leveller and a warning light on the speedometer. The problem may be related to the headlight range control, potentially caused by a defective control unit, a blown fuse, or an ageing battery. Suggested solutions include checking the fuses and battery, with the possibility of needing professional repair if these checks do not resolve the issue.

Hi, I once had a similar problem with my 2018 Citroen C-Zero electric. I would describe myself as someone with some experience with cars. In my case, the headlight control unit was defective. I had it repaired at my regular garage and the cost was 630 euros. However, without detailed information about your vehicle, I can't go into the problem in more detail. Could you please give me a little more information about your car? For example, details about the equipment or whether other repairs have already been carried out.

Hey, thanks for your quick reply! My EMehari only has 16,675 kilometers on the clock, but I last had it serviced at the end of last year. It's pretty standard in terms of equipment, no special extras. Fortunately, I haven't had to have any major repairs carried out yet. But the ECU doesn't sound great, so I'll keep that in mind. Hopefully it will cost me less. Do you have any other ideas?

Hi, thanks for the information first. Even if your EMehari doesn't have many kilometers on it yet, electronic problems can occur. However, your equipment shouldn't make any difference. In my C-Zero it was the control unit, but in yours it could just be a simple fuse that has blown or something. I'm no professional, but that would be a cheaper option to check. Otherwise, I'd have the car battery checked if I were you. Sometimes ageing or faulty batteries also trigger warning signals like this. If that doesn't help, you'll probably have to go to the garage. But don't panic, sometimes it really is just a small thing. And in the worst case, it's the control unit. So cheer up, you'll be fine!

Hello, thanks for the further advice. I have a lot to do. Checking a fuse seems simple enough. I hope it's just that and nothing more expensive. I may have the battery checked as well. It would be great if I could solve the problem myself without having to go to the garage. Your suggestions are very helpful and I will definitely check the points you mentioned. If that doesn't help, I will have to go to a garage for better or worse. Thanks again for your help and positive encouragement! I hope it will work soon!
