Problems with the lighting and warning light in the Peugeot Partner Diesel model year 2012
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Peugeot Partner Diesel is experiencing problems with spinning lights and a warning light on the speedometer. The problem may be due to a faulty glow plug, but it could also be a faulty headlight control unit, as suggested by someone with a similar problem on a different Peugeot model. It's recommended to address this promptly for safety reasons, and switching to LED lights might be a worthwhile consideration, although it may require additional parts for correct operation.

Hey, thanks for your quick reply! My car has halogen lights, but maybe I should convert to LED, what do you think? And by the way, at the moment my car has 63348 km on the clock and the last service was five months ago. I'm thinking about waiting until the next service. Maybe the guys at the garage can fix the problem then. But of course 630 euros is a lot of money... What do you think?

Hey, no problem! Well, I think converting to LED is definitely worth considering. But be careful, it's not always plug & play. Sometimes you need special adapters or resistors so that your car's electronics can process the LED lights properly. I'm not a professional, but at least that was my experience. And regarding your suggestion to wait until the next service: If the lights aren't working properly now and the warning light is on, I probably wouldn't wait that long. It could just be a minor issue, sure, but there could also be something bigger behind it. And honestly, safety first. A broken light could land you or others in a dangerous situation on the road. I'd recommend getting it checked as soon as possible, even if it costs. It's unfortunately one of those things you can't really put off. Stay healthy and drive safely!

Hi, thanks for your advice! Yes, you're right, safety definitely comes first. I'll probably make an appointment with the garage next week and see what they say. The LED thing sounds good, but I'll discuss it with the guys at the workshop. I just hope the cost won't be too high... But I guess that's the price you have to pay for a safe car. Stay healthy and have a good trip!

Hi, I have a lot of experience with cars, but only out of personal interest. I once had a similar problem with my Peugeot Expert Diesel from 2010, which was also always a glow problem. After some back and forth with my garage, we found out that it was the headlight control unit that was faulty, not the bulbs. I paid 630 euros for the repair at the time. It was an expensive affair, but afterwards it worked perfectly. Can you tell me what type of lighting is used in your car, for example LED or halogen? Maybe that could help.
