Problems with the massage function in the seat of a 2017 Mercedes CLA Diesel: Possible switch defect and experiences with repairs

Hi guys, I'm currently having a problem with my 2017 Mercedes CLA Class with diesel engine. My massage function in the seat no longer works - could the switch possibly be broken? Does anyone have any experience with this or troubleshooting tips? How did you get it repaired at your garage and what was your experience? Thank you!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2015 Mercedes A-Class. I have to admit that I have little experience with car repairs, but at my garage they quickly determined that the cable connection/plug was defective. It cost me 95 euros and since then everything has been working perfectly again. Can you give me more information about your car so that I can help you a little more precisely? Best regards!

Hey, thanks for your quick reply! At my last service, at 132947 km, everything was still in order. I have no idea what could have gone wrong. But the cable connection sounds logical to me. I'll take it up with my garage. 95 euros would be a price I could accept. Best regards!

No problem! Yes, have it checked at your garage. It could really be that the cable connection is the culprit in your case. At least that was the case with my 2015 A-Class. I hadn't noticed any signs beforehand, it just stopped working from one moment to the next. And I think 95 euros is still reasonable for the repair. Keep your fingers crossed that it's nothing worse and that you'll soon be able to drive relaxed again, with a massage seat of course! Best regards!

Thanks again for your help and encouragement! I've already made an appointment at the workshop and hope that it really is just the cable connection. It would be great if I could be back on the road with a massage seat soon. I'll let you know how it goes. Take care and have a safe journey!
