(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Mini Paceman Diesel owner is experiencing issues with the navigation and audio systems, suspecting a signal error in the audio system. A similar problem in a 2015 Mini Clubman was resolved by fixing a faulty cable connection. The suggested solution is to take the car to a garage for inspection, as the symptoms could indicate a cable issue or other component faults. The owner plans to follow this advice, hoping for a simple and inexpensive fix.

Thanks for your quick reply! Before the systems failed, there were some strange dropouts and sound issues. But there were no specific error messages. I brought my Paceman in for its last service about 10 months ago. It now has 86468 km on the clock. I just hope that the repair won't be too expensive. Maybe I should try your solution and just take the car to the garage.

No problem! First of all, I'm not a professional, but your description reminds me of my problem. The sound problems and dropouts were also a sign of this for me. That sounds very much like it could have something to do with the cable connection. Of course, with that many kilometers and the last inspection date, other components could also have their faults. In my opinion, simply going to the garage and having it checked is always the safest solution. Maybe you'll be lucky and it's nothing serious. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it won't be too expensive!

You're right, I think I should take the car to the garage. Hopefully it won't be too expensive. With a bit of luck, it really is just a problem with the cable connection. Thanks for your help and good wishes! I'll report back on what I find out.

Hey, I can tell you something about this. I had a similar problem with my 2015 Mini Clubman last year. I don't get offended by terms like 'vehicle specialist', I'm more of an average car user. Took my car to the garage and it turned out that the cable connection was faulty. Cost me about 155 euros to fix. Were your systems pretty unstable before the failure too? It might be helpful if you could provide more details such as any error messages.
