Problems with the ventilation and heating in the Mercedes AMG GT 2012: Possible AUC sensor error and solutions

Hey guys, I have a problem with my 2012 Mercedes AMG GT. The ventilation is not working properly and the cooling/heating is inadequate. Have you had any similar experiences? I suspect it could be a signal error on the AUC sensor, but I'm not entirely sure. How did you get this solved in the workshop and what were your experiences? Looking forward to your tips and advice.

Hi guys, I had a similar problem with my 2010 Mercedes AMG SL. I have limited experience with cars, so I took it to my local garage. They found that the sensor itself was faulty. After they replaced it, the whole repair cost me about euros. But to help you better, could you please share some more information about your vehicle? For example, the exact model number and whether there have been any related problems before. Have you already asked the garage for a diagnosis? A local expert might be able to give you a better picture of your problem. Hope this helps you.

Hi, thanks for your quick reply and useful information. Sure, forgot to mention - my AMG GT has run 130708 km and the last service was on time. So far there have been no similar problems, everything has been running smoothly. Yes, I've already made an appointment at the garage for a diagnosis, just wanted to find out beforehand to get a better understanding of the whole thing. Euro doesn't sound too bad, let's see what the garage will tell me! Thanks again!

Hey, no problem! I'm glad you took your AMG GT in for a service, that's always a good first step. In my case, replacing the sensor helped, but there could of course be other reasons. It could also be that the blower motor or the resistor is defective. The costs vary depending on the problem, but you should generally be able to get away with less than 2 euros if it is a typical problem. It's best to wait and see what they say at the workshop and don't let them talk you into any expensive upgrades without knowing exactly what they will do. And don't accept the first offer straight away. Compare prices and opinions. Hopefully your AMG GT will be running smoothly again soon! Let us know what the problem was in the end. Good luck!

Moin, thanks for the further feedback and advice. You're right, I'll definitely wait and see what the garage has to say and not be pressured into doing expensive upgrades without knowing the details. Comparing prices is definitely a good idea. I'll keep you posted as soon as I know more about the solution and the actual problem. Until then, thank you very much! Stay healthy and have a good start to the new week.
