Hey, thanks for your quick feedback! I've just had a look at the sensor, but couldn't find anything unusual. My Fiesta already has a whopping 69581 km on the clock and the last service was recently. Maybe it has something to do with that? I'll probably have to have a professional take a look. Thanks for the tip about the blistering though, I'll definitely keep an eye on that.

Hey, glad I could help! Well, I had the same symptoms with my Ford Focus after about 70,000 km. But the problems usually occurred after long periods of driving or heavy rain. It could well be that mileage plays a role here. Sometimes sensors can simply lose accuracy over time, or the mechanism could become slightly misaligned over time, causing the wipers to no longer work optimally. I think it's a good idea to have a professional take a look - preferably when the problem is occurring so they can see it right away. Just a suggestion: next time you notice the wipers not working properly, take it to the garage as soon as possible (assuming it's safe). Sometimes it can be helpful if the mechanic can see the problem "in action". Finally, a tip: make sure your wiper blades and wiper arm are in good condition. Sometimes the problem can be that simple. I hope you find a solution to your problem soon. Please keep us posted. Good luck!

Hello, thank you for the comprehensive answer! Your advice to go straight to the workshop if the problem occurs again is really sensible. I will definitely do this as soon as the situation allows. Checking the wiper blades and the wiper arm was also a helpful tip, but they seem to be OK. It looks like I really need to see a professional. I will of course keep you informed of any new developments. Many thanks for all the support and helpful tips!

Hey, I had a similar experience with my Ford Focus (built in 2013). I have a bit of experience with cars, so I went to the garage. Observed the blistering under the windshield gel pad and they fixed it for 62Euros. Even if this is not exactly your situation, I hope it helps you a little. With these details, maybe you could tell me more about your car or have the sensor checked? Would be great if you could give more input!
