Problems with unstable engine and loss of power in the Opel GrandlandX 2018 - suspected tank ventilation system
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Opel GrandlandX is experiencing engine instability, jerking during acceleration, and power loss, with the check engine light on. The owner suspects the tank ventilation system might be the cause. A similar issue in another Opel model was resolved by addressing clogged hoses in the ventilation system, suggesting this could be a potential solution. The owner plans to have the system checked during the next service.

Thanks for the tip, that could possibly be the case with my car too. It now has 152687 km on the clock. But nothing has yet been done to the tank ventilation system. I'll definitely have it checked at the next service. That's really good to know that it didn't happen to you after that. It's good that it hasn't become more expensive!

Hey, it sounds like you may have hit the mark with your guess about the tank ventilation system. With the mileage of your car, it can happen that the hoses are clogged. I would definitely take this up with the garage. It worked really well on my Astra and I haven't had any more problems since. Good luck with it and hopefully it won't cost you too much!

Hi, I've had a similar problem with my 2016 Opel Astra. However, I have to say that I know very little about cars. At the garage they found out that the hoses were clogged. I then paid 175.0 euros to get everything in order. It hasn't happened again since. To be able to help you more precisely, it would be helpful if you could give me more information about your vehicle. Exactly how old is the car, how many kilometers has it covered and has anything ever been done to the tank ventilation system? Then I might be able to help you better.
