Summary of the thread
A 2017 Peugeot 2008 owner is experiencing a recurring warning light issue on the speedometer, suspecting brake wear as a potential cause. Despite the vehicle having low mileage and a recent inspection, the problem persists. Suggestions include checking for worn brakes or faulty sensors, and visiting a garage for a thorough diagnosis. Hey, thanks for the help. So my Peugeot 2008 has only 5637 KM on the clock and the last inspection was only recently done. I've never had any problems with the DSC/ABS so far, so that's really strange. But it's good to hear that it worked for you again after the repair. I'll take your advice to heart and ask the garage. Thank you!

Hey, you're welcome! With your mileage and the recent inspection, the car should still be in tip-top condition. It's really strange that the warning light is on. It could be a simple warning that something is not quite right. Although in my case the problem was the ECU, in your case it could of course be something completely different. It could really be that the brakes are worn, or perhaps a sensor is spinning. But in any case, go to a garage and have it checked. Don't play with the brakes, safety first! In any case, let us know what comes up and what the workshop says. Maybe we can then help others with similar problems. All the best and drive safely!

Hey, thanks for your advice! I've now made an appointment at the garage to have it checked out in more detail. I hope it's only a minor issue and won't be too expensive. And of course, I'll definitely let you know what comes of it. Maybe you can then help others with similar problems. Safety first and I want to make sure that my car works properly again. Thanks again and drive safely!

Hey, I had a very similar problem with my 2015 Peugeot 208. My car knowledge is rather poor, I'm not a car mechanic or anything. I went to an independent garage at the time and they found that my DSC/ABS control unit was faulty (I guess it's very rare). The repair cost me about 1000 euros, but since then everything has been running smoothly again. To be able to help you better, could you share a few details about your vehicle? For example, how many kilometers have you already driven? And when was the last time it was serviced? A little more information can help me to help you better. All the best!
