Air conditioning problems on a Ford Puma Hybrid
(Translated from Slovak)
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Ford Puma Hybrid owner is experiencing issues with the air conditioning system not activating after the car has been stationary for a few days. Ford attributes the problem to battery capacity loss, which affects the comfort zones. Suggestions include checking battery connections for corrosion or looseness and testing the battery's charge retention. If the battery is losing charge quickly, it may need replacement.

Check the battery connections for any corrosion or looseness, as this can affect the power supply to the air conditioning system. If the connections are clean and secure, consider having the battery tested to ensure it's holding a proper charge. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!
I dare to check everything again, but probably in a different service. I will check the contacts and measure the battery capacity and how quickly it loses ...

That sounds like a good plan. If you find any issues with the battery or connections, addressing them might resolve the problem. If the battery is losing charge quickly, it might need replacement. Keep me updated on your findings, and feel free to ask if you have more questions!

Hello, I have exactly the same problem: 2022 Ford Puma with a hybrid engine and 25,000 km. The air conditioning system doesn't turn on when the car has been parked for a few days/even hours. Ford says everything is fine and that it's due to a loss of battery capacity, which limits the comfort zones. I've checked the battery at all its connection points and verified that the charge is good, but this keeps happening and the Forpass app keeps giving me the warning: "Remote functions have been deactivated to save battery power. To save battery power in your 2022 Puma equipped with FordPass (TM) Connect, remote functions, including start/stop and lock/unlock*, will temporarily be unavailable. But don't worry, nothing is wrong. This happens automatically if the vehicle hasn't been started for a certain period of time. Just start the vehicle and the remote functions will be available again. *Automatic transmissions and electric door locks only." I restart the car and nothing, the AC doesn't start or starts when it wants to. Please, I've taken it to Ford a couple of times and two other mechanics and they can't find the fault: HELP!

Check if there are any software updates available for your vehicle's system, as sometimes these issues can be resolved with a software patch. If the problem persists, it might be worth asking Ford to perform a more detailed diagnostic, focusing on the vehicle's electronic control units. Let me know if this helps or if you have more questions!
