Pulsar Radio Reception Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Nissan Pulsar diesel is experiencing radio reception issues, with the infotainment system displaying an error and no audio output. The problem is suspected to be a faulty antenna. A similar issue in another vehicle was resolved by checking the antenna cable connection and addressing a corroded antenna amplifier. The suggested solution is to have the antenna and connections professionally inspected, which led to the confirmation of a defective antenna in this case.

Thanks for the tip! I haven't checked the connections at the head unit yet. Was your Astra also throwing error codes, or was it just poor signal strength? Trying to see if it's the same issue.

Yep, mine was throwing a code related to the antenna signal. I took it to a workshop because I didn't want to mess with the wiring too much. The antenna amplifier was corroded. I'd suggest getting it checked by a professional. Better safe than sorry!

I appreciate the input. I took it to a shop, and they confirmed it was a defective antenna as suspected. The repair, including parts and labor, came to 255€. Thanks again for sharing your experience!

Hey, that sounds frustrating! I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra. The radio would cut out all the time, even in areas with good FM signal. Did you check the antenna cable connection at the back of the head unit? That fixed it for me.
