Puma AC failure

Hi, I'm having a weird issue with my 2020 Ford Puma diesel. The air conditioning system has just stopped working. It doesn't switch on at all, and naturally, no cooling is happening. I've had the car scanned, and there's an error code stored, but nothing specific. I've checked the obvious stuff like fuses and the refrigerant level seems okay, although I don't have the equipment to properly measure it. Could it be the compressor itself? Maybe the belt tensioner, although there are no strange noises. I am completely lost and appreciate any hint.

I had a similar problem with the A/C on my Puma. Tell me, did you check the voltage? Undervoltage can cause all sorts of weird electrical issues, including cutting out the A/C compressor. If the voltage is fine, it could be that pressure switch, as issues with it would lead to the described symptoms. Is the car battery in good condition?

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't specifically checked for undervoltage, just eyeballed the battery terminals for corrosion. Where exactly should I be testing for voltage, and what am I looking for? Do you perhaps know which pins of the connector goes to the pressure switch?

Honestly, I wouldn't mess around with the wiring too much unless you're absolutely sure. I thought I could fix it myself, but eventually had to take it to a workshop. It turned out the undervoltage was causing all sorts of problems with the A/C compressor. Definitely get it checked by a professional before you start swapping parts.

Ok, thanks for your advice! I brought my car to my local mechanic shop, and you were spot on. There was indeed undervoltage in the system. The diagnostic and repair amounted to 240€. Thanks again!
