Puma Charge Air Temperature Sensor Error
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Ford Puma with a gasoline engine is experiencing a charge air temperature sensor error, resulting in a check engine light, reduced engine power, and unusual noises during acceleration. The issue is suspected to be due to a faulty cable or plug connection. A similar problem in another vehicle was resolved by addressing a loose connection at the sensor plug. After checking and securing the connection, the issue was resolved, restoring the vehicle's performance.

Cheers. Where exactly was the loose connection on your Astra? Was it right at the sensor plug, or further back along the wiring loom?

Yeah, it was right at the sensor plug itself. Wiggle the connector a bit; if the symptoms change, that's probably your culprit. If not, I'd take it to a workshop; diagnostics can be tricky.

You were spot on. Took it to the shop; faulty connection at the sensor plug. They cleaned it up, secured it properly. Bill came to 95€. Runs like new. Thanks for the tip!

Sounds familiar. Had similar symptoms with my old Vauxhall Astra – turned out to be a loose connection on the temp sensor. Worth checking all the wiring before you start replacing parts.
