Puma Hybrid Turbo Issue

I had a similar experience with my Puma. Reduced power and weird noises sound familiar. Have you checked for any obvious leaks in the turbo hoses? It could also be a faulty turbo wastegate. Is the whistling noise constant, or only under acceleration?

Thanks for the quick reply! I did a quick visual inspection of the hoses, and didn't spot anything obvious. The whistling is definitely more noticeable when I accelerate, especially uphill. Could a defective electrical bypass valve cause all these symptoms?

Yes, a defective electrical bypass valve could definitely be the culprit, and match your symptoms. I recommend taking it to a trusted workshop. I ended up paying around 250€ for the repair.

Thanks a lot for your help! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on – it was indeed the boost pressure actuator valve. They replaced it, and the Puma is back to its old self. Cost me 250€, just like you said. Appreciate the advice!
