Thanks for the info! So, if it was the sensor on your Peugeot, did you try replacing it yourself, or did you take it to a mechanic? And how sure were you that the sensor was actually the problem?

I wasn't 100% sure, but the symptoms matched up, and the OBD code pointed to the sensor. Replacing it looked easy enough, but I didn't have the right tools or the time, so I took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the sensor and replaced it. Honestly, with fuel injection systems, it's best to let a professional handle it unless you're really confident.

Thanks again for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on. It was the rail pressure sensor. New sensor and a bill for 240€ later, it's running perfectly again.

Interesting. I had a similar issue with my old Peugeot a few years back. Same symptoms: check engine light, stalling, and a loss of power. A 'rail pressure sensor' is part of the fuel injection system, it monitors the fuel pressure in the fuel rail (the pipe that distributes fuel to the injectors). If the sensor is faulty, it sends incorrect readings to the engine control unit (ECU), which can then cause all sorts of problems. In my case, it turned out the sensor was just plain defective.
