Punto brake booster pressure sensor failure
Summary of the thread
A 2003 Fiat Punto diesel is experiencing degraded braking performance and an error message indicating a brake booster pressure sensor failure. The issue may not be due to an incorrect brake system bleed, as the error appeared days after bleeding. The likely cause is a faulty brake booster pressure sensor, and replacing it is recommended. A workshop visit confirmed the sensor was the problem, and it was successfully replaced.

The braking feels generally weak, requiring significantly more effort. I haven't noticed the ABS engaging erratically, though. Also, the error appeared several days after the bleeding.

Okay, given the delay and the generic weak braking, the sensor itself is the likely culprit. A faulty bleed would manifest almost immediately. It's probably best to have the brake booster pressure sensor replaced. It might be worth checking the ABS system as well while you're at it. A workshop visit is advisable.

I took it to a workshop as you suggested, and indeed, the brake booster pressure sensor was the problem. The replacement cost me 90€, including labor. Thank you for the advice!

I had similar issues with my Punto. When you say 'poor braking effect,' is it just a general lack of power, or are you experiencing anything else unusual, like the ABS kicking in at strange times? Did the error appear immediately after bleeding the brakes, or some time after?
